# Use Echo anywhere

> Use Echo on your computer, phone or messaging apps, or connect your own AI app to your meetings with MCP.

Pick the place that fits the moment. Echo's own apps use your account, meetings and memory. An AI app connected through MCP can read the meetings you authorize through Echo.

| Where | Best for | What you can do |
| - | - | - |
| Desktop app (Mac, Windows) | Online meetings and work at your desk | Capture online and in-person meetings, live help during calls, notes and transcripts, Echo Agent with files, CV Out, every setting |
| Phone app (iPhone, Android) | In-person meetings and quick checks on the go | Record in-person meetings, read today's briefs, look through your meetings, chat with Echo Agent |
| WhatsApp and Telegram | Quick requests when you're away from your computer | Ask Echo Agent about your meetings, send voice notes, photos and documents, get files back, set reminders |
| Your own AI app through MCP | Use meeting context in an AI app you already use | Read and search accessible meeting notes and transcripts, then ask that app to summarize or draft from them |

## Which app records what

* Calls on your computer (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and other call apps): use the desktop app with **Online meeting**. It hears your microphone and the other side.
* Meetings in a room: use the phone app's **Take notes**, or the desktop app with **In person**.
* Phone calls: Echo's phone app is for in-person meetings and isn't meant to record phone calls.
* WhatsApp and Telegram don't record meetings. They're a way to talk to Echo Agent.

## What carries across

* Every meeting you record, on any device, shows up in **Notes** on your computer and your phone, and in your briefs.
* Echo Agent conversations on the desktop and phone apps are the same conversations, so you can start on one and continue on the other.
* WhatsApp and Telegram reach the same Echo, with the same meetings and memory, but those chats stay in WhatsApp or Telegram. They don't appear in Echo Agent on your computer.
