# Keyboard shortcuts

> Shortcuts for meetings and for moving around Echo, and how to change them.

On Windows, use <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> for <kbd>⌘</kbd> and <kbd>Alt</kbd> for <kbd>⌥</kbd>.

## During a meeting

These work anywhere on your computer while Echo is listening.

| Shortcut | What it does |
| - | - |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>⌥</kbd> <kbd>E</kbd> | Focus the Meeting Nub |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>⌥</kbd> <kbd>M</kbd> | Mute or unmute your microphone in Echo |

With the Meeting Nub focused, press one letter:

| Key | What it does |
| - | - |
| <kbd>M</kbd> | Mute or unmute |
| <kbd>A</kbd> | Ask Echo |
| <kbd>N</kbd> | Notes |
| <kbd>T</kbd> | Transcript |
| <kbd>C</kbd> | Checklist |
| <kbd>E</kbd> | Pause or end the meeting |
| <kbd>Esc</kbd> | Back to your call |

In the meeting window, <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>1</kbd> opens Checklist, <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>4</kbd> opens Transcript, and <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>5</kbd> opens Questions to ask. <kbd>J</kbd> / <kbd>K</kbd> move through the items in a panel's list.

## In Echo's main window

| Shortcut | What it does |
| - | - |
| <kbd>/</kbd> | Search meetings |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>N</kbd> | New meeting |

## Change a shortcut

Open **Settings › Shortcuts**, select the shortcut you want to change and press the new keys. Available actions without a shortcut can get one here too.
