# Plan trips with Echo Agent

> Draft itineraries, compare options and write trip proposals from your client calls, your supplier files and the web.

Echo Agent turns client details into a draft itinerary, option comparison, or proposal. It works from what you type, the files you attach, your enabled Sources, and public information on the web. It can hand you a Word, PDF, Excel, or PowerPoint file to edit.

For document generation, keep every switch in **Sources** enabled. See [Echo Agent](https://docs.callecho.ai/agent/overview.md) for the Sources menu.

## Start from a suggestion

Open **Echo Agent**. With the Travel advisor track, a new conversation offers:

| Suggestion | Starts the request |
| - | - |
| **Plan an itinerary** | "Plan an itinerary for this trip: " |
| **Compare options** | "Compare these travel options: " |
| **Draft a trip proposal** | "Draft a trip proposal for " |

Finish the sentence with the details and press <kbd>Enter</kbd>. These suggestion labels are from the latest version of Echo.

## Draft your first proposal

You can start from supplied details. A recorded consultation, calendar history, and custom Meeting Type are optional.

Copy this fictional practice request, or replace it with your own client details:

```text theme={null}
Draft a trip proposal for Elena Novak and family. Fictional practice details: two adults and two children, ages 8 and 11. Ten days in Japan in April. Tokyo, Hakone, and Kyoto. Mid-range budget. They want one ryokan night, food experiences, trains instead of domestic flights, quieter neighborhoods, and no early starts. They need a family-friendly pace and one rainy-day option in Kyoto. Word document.
```

Echo researches what it needs on the web and builds the document. Open **Activity** to follow along. When it's done, you get a **Download file** link.

Download the file, read it against the details you gave Echo, and check every price, schedule, route, and availability before you use it with a client. Then refine it in the same conversation: "Swap day 6 and day 7", "Add a rainy-day option in Kyoto", "Make it a PDF".

## Compare options

Attach supplier PDFs, rate sheets or quotes, or paste the options:

```text theme={null}
Compare these travel options for the Novaks: the three Hakone ryokans in the attached PDFs. Table with room type, family suitability, distance from the station and what's included. Recommend one based on what Elena said on our call.
```

You get a table in the conversation, or an Excel file if you ask for one.

## Plan an itinerary

```text theme={null}
Plan an itinerary for this trip: 5 days in Lisbon for a couple in their 60s, slow pace, food and history, one day trip. Day by day, with a morning and an afternoon each day.
```

The plan combines what your client told you with public information, such as neighborhoods, opening patterns and travel times between places.

## What to check before you send

Echo researches the public web. It has no booking or supplier-system integration, so it can't hold space or book anything, and prices it finds on the web may be out of date and aren't quotes.

* Confirm every price, schedule and availability with the supplier.
* Check entry and visa rules with official sources.
* Read the whole document before it goes to the client.

Echo drafts. You book and send.
