On your own, everything in Echo is private to you. An Organization lets your team share meetings with each other by hand, or automatically by a rule you set. Your personal memory stays private either way.

Create an Organization

  1. Open Settings › Organization.
  2. Enter an Organization name and select Create Organization. You become its owner.
  3. Owners and admins: type the email of a teammate who already uses Echo and select Invite. They accept from Invitations to you in their own Settings, or from their Inbox.
Once the owner has verified your company’s work domain with Verify work domain, Echo can suggest colleagues on that domain who already use Echo and signed in with a verified Google Workspace or Microsoft work account. Suggestions never add anyone by themselves; each person still accepts an invitation.

Roles

Teams

Group people into Teams, for example “Recruiting” and “Sales”, so a meeting can be shared with the right group at once.

Default sharing

Owners and admins can have finished meetings shared automatically:
  • Share meetings with the member’s Teams: each meeting is shared with every Team its owner belongs to, from the moment you turn it on.
  • Share meetings with managers: each meeting is shared with the owner and admins. Turning it on also covers past meetings, back to when each person joined. Promoting someone to admin gives them the shared history; demoting them removes it immediately.
Each rule shares with an access level you choose, such as Summary or Full including transcript. Turning a rule off removes the shares it made. Members are notified when a rule starts applying to them. Anyone can keep a single meeting out of automatic sharing with Exclude from automatic sharing in that meeting’s share dialog (Private — never auto-share in earlier versions). This also removes that meeting’s existing automatic shares. Shares made by hand stay until their owner revokes them. See Share a meeting.

Inbox

Inbox in the sidebar collects shares, invites and replies from your teammates. When it’s empty it says You’re all caught up.

Team

Owners and admins see Team in the sidebar. It shows active members and meetings over the last 7 days, and minutes over the last 30 days. Select a member to browse the meetings they’ve shared with you. Team shows counts, not content; a member whose meetings aren’t shared shows their numbers and nothing else.
